I'm out with Lia today this time on a different part of the island, and with different beaches. Lia's a lot of fun she likes to hike and has fun stories so it makes the long days seem less long. While we were out today a drunk man approached us and blocked the road, he wanted us to give him a ride home and was trying to get us to trade a ride with him for stories of the grind. Lia was tempted, I didn't feel like risking our lives this early in the morning.
Our team leader called us while we were monitoring the beaches and asked us to check on Vestmanna, apparently an elderly couple had come up to them on patrol and asked them why they were just sitting there when there was a grind occuring in the other town. Luckily we were right around the corner and had been monitoring it all morning. Still when a Faroese takes time to approach us we still have to double check.
As much as we love the people giving us fake information, cough cough, we love peaceful beaches more. And if they just want to get their kicks by lying to us and trying to get us to panic, then that was fine with us because little did they realize Sea Shepherd was everywhere on the island and we were prepared.
